With fall term starting up, the Oregon Evans Scholars have been getting back into the swing of school. One of the most exciting things about this time of the year is welcoming in the New Scholars. Last week, we opened our doors to seven New Scholars. Here’s a little bit about each of them:
Taylor is from Portland and caddied at Eastmoreland Golf Course. She is planning on majoring in computer information science. She is pursuing this degree because of her love for technology. She also enjoys going to the beach, trying new foods and watching sports.
Marina caddied at Waverley Country Club and is originally from Molalla. She is pursuing a degree in accounting. In her free time, she loves to play volleyball and almost all sports. She looks forward to being a part of intramural sports teams throughout her time at Oregon.
Anthony is from Portland and caddied at Eastmoreland Golf Course. He is currently undeclared, but is taking both computer science and biology classes this term to determine which field interests him most. In his free time, he likes to play video games, draw and do origami.
Amie is from North Bend and was a caddie at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. She plans on studying English, law and music. In her free time, she loves hiking and playing her guitar.
Victoria is from Portland and caddied at Rose City Golf Course. She plans on exploring biochemistry and mathematics as possible majors. She also plans on joining the American Red Cross Club on campus. In her free time, she likes to cook and explore her surroundings.
Miles is from Beaverton and caddied at Portland Golf Club. He is exploring majors in medical and social sciences. His main interest outside of school includes planes. He has flown planes himself and aims to get a commercial flying license in the future.
Joseph is from Portland and caddied at Eastmoreland Golf Course. He is very excited to start college at Oregon as a pre-med student.
